Welcome to the web site of the Los Angeles Unified School District Amateur Radio Association (LAUSD ARA)

The Los Angeles Unified School District Amateur Radio Association (LAUSD ARA) is a supplemental communications support organization. During a disaster or other emergency situation, the volunteer members of the Association coordinate their support to the District through the use of Amateur Radio.

The LAUSD ARA supports efforts to educate and train students, teachers, parents, and others as Amateur Radio operators using the resources of the Los Angeles Unified School District.

Participation and membership are open to all licensed Amateur Radio operators. Please click on the "Join the ARA" link to the left and fill out the form to be put on our membership roster.

Our Repeaters:

The LAUSD ARA has repeaters on 2 Meters and 440 MHz in the Los Angeles Area.

147.195 (+) PL 100.0 Hz - W6NVY/R Located on Palos Verdes

449.700 (-) PL 131.8 Hz - W6NVY/R Located on Mt. Wilson

Both repeaters are open and are available for use by any licensed Amateur Radio Operator.
